The Hochdorf Movement Centre is addressing this question from today What decides whether a patient calls or rolls on?
It usually takes seven seconds. That's how long someone looks at a website before deciding whether to stay or go. Seven seconds that decide the first contact. And therefore often the question: Is the practice full or are there gaps in the appointment book?
As of today, the Hochdorf Movement Centre is actively addressing this issue. The practice has a completely new website, real images and a language that resonates.
This was created together with the team in Hochdorf - on an on-site media day where we not only took photos, but also really got to know the practice and its people. The result is more than just a new layout. It is a figurehead for a practice that does great work every day.
Why the website makes the first impression today - no longer the reception team
In the past, the first impression began at reception. Today, it starts on the smartphone.
Most patients google before they book an appointment. They look at the website, read reviews, scan the team. In just a few seconds, they decide whether to call or move on.
This doesn't just apply to patients. Therapists who are interested in a new job also look at the online presence first. A friendly, up-to-date, honest website is a key recruiting factor today - because therapists who have a choice look closely before they apply.
The special thing is that a strong website attracts more patients and better applicants at the same time. It works around the clock - even when the practice is closed.
What is now different at the Hochdorf exercise centre
Three things were decisive for the new appearance:
Firstly: real pictures.
No stock photos, no generic practice shots. Just the real team, the real place, the real atmosphere. If you visit the website, you can see what it really looks like - and who works there. This creates trust even before the first contact has taken place.
Secondly: clear language.
No wall of technical terms. Instead, texts that explain what patients can expect. What the specialisations are. How the first treatment is organised. Those who write the way they speak come across as approachable - and approachability is the most important thing in a healthcare practice.
Thirdly: simple ways.
Book an appointment online, call quickly, find the right contact person directly. Everything works just as well on a mobile phone as it does on a computer. Because when you're looking for patients, you use your smartphone - not your desktop.
What this has to do with the SPP network
Building a strong website takes time, expertise and energy that many practice owners don't have alongside their day-to-day business. That's not an accusation - it's a reality.
This is exactly why SPP exists. In the network, we take on such projects centrally: marketing team, photography, texts, web development - all customised to the respective practice. This maintains the local identity and gives the practice a presence that can easily keep up with the major providers.
What this means for you as a practice owner: You concentrate on the therapy. We make sure that your practice is also convincing online. More about the SPP network
