What does growth actually mean to you?

More patients? A second practice? A larger team? Or simply more stability, more peace of mind, more time for the work you really want to do?

Growth in physiotherapy looks different for every practice, because each one starts from a different point. That’s exactly why it’s worth understanding the various approaches first, before you choose one.

Demand is growing

Demand for physiotherapy is rising significantly in Switzerland. People are now more conscious of their health and seek professional help at an earlier stage. This is a trend worth responding to. The market is growing. Those who position themselves now will be the first to benefit.

Five growth strategies for practice owners

These five approaches are the quickest to yield results because they build on what your practice already has: patients, staff and your network. You start with what’s already working.

  1. Expansion of the range of services. Services paid for out of pocket, such as preventive care, personal training or specialised therapy programmes, generate revenue outside the statutory health insurance system. Many patients are happy to pay if they recognise genuine added value.
  2. Optimise space and increase capacity utilisation. Not every practice needs a large space. But almost every practice has times when its capacity remains unused. Group classes, partner programmes or evening sessions fill these gaps.
  3. Digitisation of administrative processes. Every hour you spend manually on scheduling, billing or documentation is an hour you’re not spending on treating patients. Practice software that automates these processes immediately frees up more capacity for paying patients. Your existing premises are already sufficient for this.
  4. Partnerships with referring practitioners. Practices that work closely with GPs, home care services or fitness centres have a more stable flow of patients. Building this up takes time, but it pays off.
  5. The network as a platform for growth. Practice owners in the SPP network They benefit not only from a reduction in administrative workload. They also benefit from shared strategies, genuine dialogue and the strength of a group. What is difficult to achieve alone becomes possible when we work together.

What you can actually do right now

Growth begins with a clear decision: What is the one area you really want to develop over the next six months?

If you’re aware of this, let’s talk about it. We know of practices that have taken this approach, and we’ll show you what’s worked for them.
