You identify your patients’ specific needs and guide them in taking the right steps. Step by step, you support and encourage them to establish the necessary positive (exercise) habits on their own. You will also support people going through particularly challenging stages of life – elderly patients at the local care home, young adults with disabilities at the affiliated rehabilitation clinic, and people recovering from accidents or living with chronic functional impairments. You identify individual needs, implement targeted measures and motivate your patients, step by step, to remain active even outside of therapy.

What you bring with you:

• You have a degree in physiotherapy or suitable training that can be recognised in Switzerland
• An interest in, or some initial experience of, geriatrics, neurorehabilitation or the treatment of adults with physical or cognitive impairments
• Ability to identify needs using specific tests and assessments (e.g. functional mobility tests, geriatric assessments)
• Expertise in the treatment of muscle and joint problems, motor disorders and post-fracture care
• Empathy when dealing with vulnerable patient groups – whether they are the very elderly, have cognitive impairments or are young people with an acquired disability
• You advise your patients, their relatives and care teams, and help them to live more independently in their day-to-day lives
